The Stanford Swimmer was caught IN THE ACT of raping a woman behind a dumpster. Open and shut case. He got three whole months in jail b/c the judge didn’t want to “ruin his future”;…

That is absolutely batshit insane.

Except hell doesn’t exist and throughout history men like this have simply gotten away with it and they died peacefully in their expensive homes on their silk pillows. The ignorant community will praise him and the ones in the know will be too afraid to criticize him as his family holds political power over them.…

I waded into the comments, which, don’t.  But someone posted giving the daughter the cellphone may have been a violation of their joint custody agreement.  Father must also agree to give the daughter a phone, and because he didn’t, she was in violation of the joint custody agreement, and judge gave the father…

Ah, yes the men are the real victims in this story. From the linked article:

I don’t understand why she’s losing custody because she gave her kid a cell phone. I even went to the original article to see if something was lost in transcription but that article doesn’t give any detail either. At least that writer can move up to Jezebel someday.

I’d like to see regular follow-ups to this case. Hopefully the FBI or DOJ will get involved and the judge and the sheriff’s office will both be brought up on charges as well as the rapist being  forced to give up all his money to the woman he raped.

Let’s be careful before we throw around hurtful terms.

Me too. She should have gotten multiple Emmys for this show at the very least as a consolation prize.

Eh, that’s nothing to sneer at; most actors would count their blessings to be pigeonholed for anything whatsoever.

While I suspect that is true, it still feels like kind of a dick thing to say.

I feel like most of my friends who started out with fuck buddies eventually wound up married and/or having kids with the person. I’m not sure if there is just less pressure on the initial relationship, so maybe it tends to work out? Or it’s just happenstance with our age and people being ready to settle down. 

I’m not mad at this at all. After being in an unhealthy relationship, a person deserves some fun. Zero problem with her explanation tbh.

He’s the youngest artist I’ve heard of to do this.  But maybe not surprising - I bear Timberlake’s financial planner can set him up to get better returns than whatever he was getting in music royalties. 

What are they afraid of? If someone wants to hurt Trump there’s a room full of good guys with guns. Should work itself out.
