“Paint me like on of your French pastries”
2nding the showering at night to keep pollen out of the bed & changing the sheets once a week and pillow cases more often, if needed. Also, local honey year-round.
Congratulations on everything! I’ve been told that there is never actually an ideal time to have a baby :D. I have no kids, so I cannot speak from experience, but my sister has had 3.
My husband and I have been having issues lately. Mostly it centers around our 8 month old and me doing the heavy lifting in that department. He constantly uses that it was “my idea” to have a baby as an excuse to shirk responsibility. He is not even a bad dad, he is great when he wants to be, but I am the one up with…
Only thing that stops me from having a constant light nosebleed in the spring is the nasal spray Flonase. You have to take it for two weeks for full effectiveness but then it works for me where claritin and zyrtec did nothing.
I finally found my true calling at 36. Always planned on being a journalist or English teacher. Now I’m a librarian.
Weekly Achievement Thread! What did you do this week that you are proud of? Let us know so that we can celebrate with you.
Tell her not to think about “the rest of her life” or her “career.” Focus on the next six months. Allow yourself to explore the things that interest you and make you happy. Very few things in life are forever and ever. If you try one thing and hate it, you can always try another. My daughter called me last year…
over 40 and still not sure what I want to do when I grow up. Humanities major with no interest in teaching so I did office admin for a whole lot of years before buying an ongoing creative business and becoming my own boss. Still not sure I want to do this until I retire; getting interested in alternative health care.…
I had a plan. I executed that plan and obtained a degree and certification in a health care field. I got a job. I got married. Had a kid after 7 years of marriage. That was the plan. I did everything I was supposed to.
Yes! Part of this is having my illusions about my beloved dad shattered more than I thought possible. Some pretty ‘hmmm’ behaviour. Also my first ever therapy session last month was a trip. My therapist was like, yeah, you have a problem with boundaries, and it’s that you don’t have any.
Need some advice, folks.
Now that we’ve got our first title, my indie press is ready to go! Website just in the final stages before launch, and we have yet to finalize plans for our launch/signing event, but it is available for sale in my shop in Hollywood, we’re starting to post to social media, and soon it’ll be in several other LA stores.…
Yes. My mother is BP and was incrediblyEmotionally abusive and controlling and I remember this aging back to about nine years old. It was only in the last two years I realize how badly she manipulated my life and that I lost about a decade of it because she had me in such fear and control. I am dreading tomorrow, I…
I am so sorry you are feeling all these things. If it matters, what you did or didn’t do in college REALLY doesn’t matter in the long run. There’s no “oh you only partied A LITTLE BIT in college?” or anything.
Whelp...lots of changes in Fashion Don’t world this week! Last Friday husband accepted a new job, Sunday morning we discovered I’m pregnant. At 38. Husband is 40. We didn’t think it was even possible, given that it took 3 years, a miscarriage, and a lot of useless fertility treatments to get our now 2 year old. So now…
Now, now, let’s not muddy the waters with facts.
I always figured that Tina Lawson must be a pretty great mom, but taking the initiative to get her kids into counseling in order to prevent an unhealthy dynamic from developing between them is beyond the wisdom of most parents, even the good ones. Frankly, I always vaguely wondered what the story was with Beyoncé’s…
Where is Mario?
Nothing whets the appetite like a sclerotic pile of uncooked pasta leering at you from his cheesy Crocs.
