Thank you so much, I have been waiting for someone in the comments to call this out. This “artistic” movie somehow needed to show *both* teenage girl characters topless.  Fuck off.  

Use of the phrase “but technically” is a helpful signpost if you want to know how seriously to take someone.

They made the important decision to show a lot of boobs and rape. That won them a huge audience right there (especially when you factor in the people who need their boobs and rape with a veneer of prestige TV; Sean Bean was in it!).  So, Benioff & Weiss = brilliant auteurs.

Galaxy Quest deserves more respect, it almost perfectly achieves what it set out to do.
