Audi first talked about the e-Tron just after Tesla released the Roadster.

The VehiCross. It was simply ahead of its time. What were weird styling details in the 90s and early 00s are now bland in 2016. It’s not so much that the VX has gotten better looking with time...everything around it has gotten so ugly and weird that the VX has become an adonis.
