I'm not quite as frequent a flier, but my kindle 2 has been through the xray machine dozens of times as well in the past 2 years. Works fine. I'm kind of hoping it does zap it at some point though, it'll give me an excuse to upgrade. :)

I've looked at the lensbaby systems since they are inexpensive and seem like a fun toy for some creative shots, but from what I've read (and the lack of images), it looks like they are a poor option if you're looking for something to create shots with a miniature effect.
