Is there anything that indicates this beyond Blizzard’s posts? I mean, there was no indication of west-coast internet issues at the time, just B.Net being down. Additionally, the courts would have listed the ISPs as the target, and instead listed “gaming and entertainment” companies with no mention of an ISP.
CloudFlare offers DDoS protection for a large number of commercial sites that you’d know. So there is DDoS protection available for most applications. Now, I can’t speak to Blizzard’s exact situation. It could be that this solution doesn’t work with the Client/Server configurations, or it could very well be that…
