Those citations do not go to "empirical evidence." There, are, however, numerous peer-reviewed scientific studies that say the exact opposite.

"You lost me at hello." Well, no one gives a fuck.

I'm sure her attorney can help you or refer you to someone who can (and I'm an attorney but not a tax specialist, so I don't know for sure). But as you are only the aggregator I am fairly confident that the full sum would not be considered a "gift" from you, but separate individual donations, which would be far too

You and me both. I don't really care if people want to think soy is bad, but any citation to Mercola makes my blood boil — I loathe him with the fire of a thousand suns. And I wish I had put "Dr." in quotes.

I was surprised too but I think it's because like a lot of models she's been around since she was a teenager so she just seems like she should be older.

Any kid can "just walk away" from their front yard any time. What possible difference does it make that she was playing at a park near her mother's workplace? And the "she could have been abducted" thing is just silly. Statistically a child is about 100 times more likely to be killed in a car accident than to be

The giver (donor) is the one who has to pay gift tax on amounts over 13K. Since these are many small gifts aggregated from multiple people, that's not an issue here. And she will not have to declare it as income — IR Act section 102 excludes gifts from income. :)

Her mother was less than a 5-minute walk away, and she had a cell phone to call her at any time. They had plans to meet during the mother's breaks from work to check in.

True, but Stewart works on each 22-minute episode for way more than 22 minutes, and not just by standing there looking pretty.

She's 33. Quite a few years from 40.

Oy! That gave me the chills. They say toddlers bounce, and it has to be the truth because they are basically suicide machines.

Hopefully when it's empty? Hopefully?

My 20-month old stacks tupperware to make a step to reach the stove knobs. :(

I know! But I have a 6-year-old too and I'm afraid he won't be able to open them (or lock them after him) and will just stand the door yelling for someone to help him. :/ We have gates at the really important doors but the toddler has figured out how to open most of them. GAH!

This is my second kid, and I watch all the other parents in our daycare encouraging their kids to crawl and walk and I'm like (silently of course), "if you had ANY IDEA what's in store you wouldn't be pushing for this...." My first kid didn't walk until 18 months and it was GREAT! My second, 11 months. Nightmare.

Scariest post ever.

WE HAVE THAT THING! It was a gift from the in-laws, and when I saw it I was like, "are you fucking crazy?"

For real, though, the day your toddler learns to open doors is the beginning of the end. NO MORE CONTAINMENT! I am dreading this right now (as my toddler is not as advanced as wee George, apparently, despite being older).
