They started clamming up (in the weeks leading up to launch) when it was absolutely clear that they weren’t going to be able to deliver on some of their aspirations (at launch, anyways). The last word from them just prior to launch is that this wasn’t a multiplayer game and no one should go in to it looking for a

I haven’t bought No Man’s Sky, but I have seen more than a few features that were promised which were removed or never implemented without this being communicated to user’s prior to sale.

There’s several videos detailing all the gameplay features they did talk about that aren’t in the game. They talked about the gameplay a LOT.

What entitles you to a patch? There’s nothing wrong with wanting to know more about a game and why some things were included and others weren’t. If I was at a Chinese restaurant and I ordered something based on a picture menu but when I got it, it didn’t look like the picture (missing broccoli!), it wouldn’t be

So you buy things with no expectation that they’ll hold up to any of the promises made beforehand? Everything is on you? If I order 6 breadsticks and only get 3, that’s on me for believing the restaurants advertising? If a game is sold promising multiplayer and it has no multiplayer, that’s all on me?

We’d rather have some communication, than a near complete lack of communication.

They didn’t even have a QA team pre-launch (not counting the QA sony, undoubtedly, provided for the ps4 version). So I’m gonna say no.

So you’re justifying that developers can outright lie and then say that it’s 100% the player’s fault for taking developers at their word?

But much of the marketing and setting of expectations was done by Sean Murray himself. He hyped the game, he made promises of features, and not all of those features have been followed through on. Expecting players to be able to see each other, for example, isn’t players expectations getting out of hand.

How is it 100% the players fault if they showed all kind of stuff in trailers and previews? Stuff like “players can see each other” and that “you’ll be able to seamlessly fly from system to system and even crash into a star” and dozens of similar examples (read the reddit thread yourself please).

They had no problem with communication when it was selling people on all of the ideas they were going to include. They only started clamming up when those things weren’t delivered. If there’s some legal reason for this, some contractual obligation that they cannot specifically address features not included in the

They didn’t pull them off for not looking traumatized. They pulled them off for questioning because their stories apparently don’t square. I take your word for this corruption, but Brazil would generally be better off letting this go quietly if they think it really occurred.

If there was a robbery in the cab? I’m pretty sure the Brazilians would’ve found it.

It seems highly likely they didn’t have their stories straight, so somebody is lying. To my knowledge they haven’t found the cab, and the “men with badges” routine seems kind of far-fetched.

I can think of plenty of reasons they would do this, and very few of don’t make the swimmers look bad. If I had to hazard a guess, Lochte was up to some dumb shit and the nice people he was transacting with didn’t play by the rules as expected. So he and his teammates described it as a robbery. (and, frankly, I’m not

It’s not a joke to lie about getting robbed at gunpoint by cops. You think that if Russian swimmers pulled that stunt in New York people would just chuckle?

wait, you think Brazil is the one looking bad here? lol ok

Intelligence is not what gets people pensions. That’s not how the world works. It’s as if you just arrived here out of a time machine. It’s really rather quaint. You sound like my senile grandmother who lives in a hospital. She doesn’t understand the modern world either.

I don’t know where you live, but $16/hr is not much money. Definitely not “good job” money.

$16 an hour is good pay so don’t even go there? Maybe if you live in a NYC sewer, steal your clothes from a garbage bin next to a homeless shelter and get your food from a dumpster next to the sanitation department garage. $16 an hour in the Tristate NY/NJ/CT is like 50 cents a day in China. You have no freaking idea.
