Jason, can you look into the claims made about there being ‘18 quintillion’ planets? Clearly based on the evidence of people already running into each other’s planets it is virtually mathematically impossible for his estimate of the number of planets to be correct. 18 quintillion is so large, that if we divide it by

It was pushed as a multiplayer game. Multiple interviews up to a few days ago it was said. “Yes you can meet other players in the game but it’s a very low probability.” Which made the game even more interesting to see what would happen when players did start meeting each other. They never once said there is NO

“gamers can be some of the most deluded, entitled, and unformed people”

Are you delusional?

It’s not about your personal preference. It’s about what was explicitly promised being different that what was delivered.

Are you trying to defend a company lying to it’s customers on the premise that it’s better than the company saying nothing at all?

So that would mean that — like I said in my second point — he’s reluctant to come out and say that he couldn’t do it. I don’t expect him to give a definitive no. If what you’re saying is in fact the case, then I just want him to say that it couldn’t be implemented for the game’s launch and that it will be coming in an

But he hasn’t come out and said that. He has been wishy washy with giving a straight answer, and if people bought the game expecting the feature because it was at one point expected to be there, and he hasn’t said straight up otherwise, you can see how some consumers are getting pissed about it. He even said they

So let me get this straight: I buy a product that promises X,Y, and Z. It only comes with X and Y. I demand a refund. And you say that’s ‘batshit crazy’ and that I shouldn’t have bought it in the first place?

Play games you like. Don’t play games you dislike. Simple.

Would you consider just being able to see other players multiplayer? I mean, typically multiplayer implies some sort of interactivity, either through a pvp or cooperative experience. Take something like Dark Souls, you don’t just see other people, you’re able go about either helping other players or killing them. But

Now playing

The developers clearly stated it would be in the game multiple times. At any point they could have clarified this feature was cut by saying “Hey, this feature has been cut and will not be available on release.”

Leaving people in the dark regarding whether a basic feature is part of the game or not is better business practice? We’re not talking continous updates over what the issue is and what the current estimates are. I’m talking a simple “Players should definitely be able to see each other, we will update once the issue

There’s getting what you want and then there’s getting what was promised at the time of sale.

But they clearly said before that players WOULD be able to see each other, and this was something some people were really looking forward to. If the feature was later cut then the developers should have clearly stated that before the game was sold.

How can you be blunt without knowing what’s going on?

The dodginess is what all this drama is about. Why not just be blunt and explain what’s going on? Bugs are one thing, skirting around whether it’s a bug or working as intended is quite another.

Developers explicitly promising a feature that does not exist is kind of a big deal though.

Hope it’s more settlers II and less settlers III, IV, or V.

I really don’t see the point of aimbots. Is it purely a trolling mechanism? Outside of that, I see it being as fun as using a gameshark to jump to the end credits. What’s the point?
