BAMFs usually come with a side of Bad Bitch.
Here’s the thing though, the progressive viewers just don’t watch TV the way conservative viewers do. Progressive Viewers, young or older bloc, are mostly getting their news through web clips or articles, facebook or other news aggregators (like Gawker, for example.)
“Ungrateful?” Oh fuck no. That *immediately* reads as racist and possibly sexist as well. I need that “flames coming out of my face” gif.
I agree, however I feel corporate media is somewhat to blame because who wants to tune into station that is 90% coverage of purposefully incendiary programming and like 10% coverage of topical issues by rational and intelligent people?
Good for her! I hope someone picks it up and the kerfuffle causes her ratings to soar. We can get campaign coverage any and everywhere and hardly any of it is substantive - much like most of the candidates.
MSNBC made the decision last year that they needed to compete with Fox. The lower rungs were told that they were going to seek more “moderate” programming, but the upper rungs were already planning a Trumpalooza. I hope they fall on their face (except for Maddow, long live Maddow.) There’s already a glut of white,…
She’s been catching a lot of heat for being “ungrateful”, which is patently absurd. Defending your work, autonomy and reputation is hard, especially when it seems you’re being let down when you’ve been trying to reach out for support for a while.
And what’s that supposed to mean? Maybe you should write what you really want to say.
Well in NBC’s defense, I don’t think there has been enough coverage on this election. Who’s even running? I wouldn’t know. I mean, an analysis of a poignant and provocative music video? Nah, give me more Trump.
MSNBC has confirmed with The New York Times that the network and Melissa Harris-Perry have officially parted…
The “my man is just....special and I’m the only one who gets him” is written in stone in the Pantheon of Emotionally Abused Women. Whether or not Ms. K is of that guild is immaterial: she’s pimping it, it’ll be sucked up by young, vulnerable fans, and that pisses me off.
My husband (a northerner currently living in the south) suggests commemorating Sherman’s March. He says he’s happy to help if they ask nicely.
That's what it's ALWAYS been about. Now thanks primarily to trump they don't have to use coded words and diet racism. This is classic formula racism.
That's pretty transparently what this proclamation is about, too: white supremacy. They won't use those words, but that doesn't change what it is.
Even if you take out the racial aspect, the slavery aspect... isn’t this just... treasonous? How dare you say you support our troops, how dare you proclaim that America is the “greatest country” in the world... how dare you do those things and then laud a group of people who rose up against that nation and fought with…
Now mind you, it’s BEYONCE who is being racially divisive and preventing us from moving on from the past.
I assume one celebrates confederate heritage by having one's neighbor from the north side of the street come over and kick one's ass and then burn one's house down, and then one tells maudlin tales to the younger generations, romanticizing the event as a fight for state's rights.
That’s nothing. Somebody tried to convince me today that Gwen Stefani is older than Ted Cruz. Which is just ridiculous. I mean, look at their birth- wait a minute.
