I never felt like Ben was right in that accusation. The whole argument between them I felt was there to provide moral ambiguity, that even though Ben was trying to do something good, it doesn't mean he's always right.

I think you're confusing HAVING characters of different races and women in the show, with gender equality and racism being issues the show deals with.
Those things are never, NEVER outright mentioned in the show so no they weren't issues.
Ditto on all points. I may never forgive her for dragging Ben to see fisk's mom. Like she completely misled him on purpose, knowing he had a sick wife to care for and she just blatantly put her desires ahead of his own.
Why did this review of the episode spend like 60% of its content bemoaning ethnicity and sexism in a show where neither of those things are are issue? It comes off like the writer is way too sensitive about those issues.
