To think this all started because people just wanted reforms...

Thanks, supplilulumas. I was going to write something down about the protests, but what you wrote is 100X better.

Honestly, I have no idea. I liked Hillary’s idea of a NFZ zone in Syria but it would have required the cooperation of Russia.

I had been following Bana’s account for some time. The most popular conspiracy argument against the accuracy of this account was that the English was “too good” for someone who never lived in the West. As someone who has lived and worked in the Middle East (I spent a summer in Damascus back in ‘06), it was hardly

Ran over the colleague’s wife and slept with the dog?

I’m seriously considering phoning Trump tower and present myself as the President of Afghanistan wishing to offer him congrats. I’m just looking through Google to see if I could get arrested for it.

Are you absolutely certain Sessions will vote for himself if given the chance.

That’s really not a good look for Gary Johnson.

“I would rather lose than win the way you guys did.”

We’re really good at cannibalizing our own, aren’t we? The Republicans got Donald J. Trump into the White House and we can’t even agree on an honest, progressive politician to head the DNC. Why do we keep playing the other side’s game?

I occasionally have a few of these pop-up on my FB wall. One has an image of Hillary and Chelsea Clinton wearing a chaadar (the half-veil popular in south-east Asia). They were visiting a Pakistani Sufi shrine or something. Title was, “Hillary Clinton is bringing stealth Shariah to America.”

I’m actually opposed to niqab, I’m just not comfortable with the types of people who are banning it. I simply don’t believe Geert Wilders really gives a toss about Muslim women’s rights, and I think it dismisses any agency on the part of the woman wearing it. Just my take.

No, I’ve never been. We have a sizable Muslim population here in BC and it’s extremely rare. It could have something to do with the ethnic make-up of the community. But I would definitely stand by my other comment and say it’s a small percentage of the female Muslim population (maybe 5%).

A solution to a problem that doesn’t really exist. People have to start pushing back against this mythical tide of Muslim hordes coming into Europe, where all the women are wearing niqaab and all the men with their hipster beards are waving the ISIS flag around.

The number of Muslim women who wear the niqab (face covering) in any western country can be counted by hand. It’s limited to (mostly) Saudi/Egyptian women who are used to wearing it back home (there are exceptions). Most Muslim women simply do not wear it, nor is there any real “uptick” in the number of women wearing

People like him make life even more difficult for the rest of us. This wasn’t an act of “resistance” or fighting for the rights of Muslims. It was for a purely selfish reason. Did it ever occur to him that his actions help to create the tense and hostile environment it was supposedly intended to stop? No, because

I think one of the reasons why these attacks seem to go unnoticed by a large swath of Trumpkins is that they don’t actually recognize these incidents as “hate crimes.”

Even if one considers this Twitter account fake, how could anyone seriously believe the crimes that Assad, Russia, Iran and Hezbollah have committed against the Syrian people is nothing more than propaganda? This has been a common theme on Twitter, claiming the White Helmets are the propaganda arm of al-Qaeda, that

Looking through FB, it’s kind of stunning just how outraged American Muslims (and specifically, Somalis) are in response to this event. If you ignored the user name and profile pic, you could swear you were reading the comments section from Breitbart or some other right-wing website. Everything from “deport these

This kind of thing boils my blood. Muslim women were reduced to tears when they were escorted off the plane because their presence made others feel uncomfortable but this guy gets away scot-free?
