We didn’t really have our freedoms threatened in 1945. Japan attacked Hawaii, but didn’t have the ability to follow that up with anything. Germany was never a threat to the US. The threats to our freedoms have always been domestic, at least since 1812.

Having ridden in one of these, the problem is the suspension. It’s a nice, spacious car, but the suspension is too hard. It needs to be softer, more capable of handling bumps without upsetting your grey poupon. Otherwise, it’s a nice car.
