Right, but you don’t see the same kind of snark from the Kotaku writers on said keyboards/mice.
Visibility. For example, I had never heard of Scuf until just now. The people that are excited about said Scuf controllers are not the same people who are complaining about this.
I don’t get why people flip out about the price considering it’s cheaper than some of the Scuf controllers and people still circle jerk around those
Honest question, why is “I built a PC” considered some sort of accomplishment?
My 9th grade students built their own computers, too. So that’s cool.
The thing is, the consoles ARE easy to set up. Do they take a bit of time and effort? Sure, what doesn’t? But if you honestly think we’re still in the SNES era when you plug and play stuff, you’re just sadly mistaken. I’m happy with both my consoles, despite initial waiting times to set up MS accounts and such. But…

Actually, you don't ask if they want Cici's or Little Ceasar's if you;re tight on cash. You tell them that pizza is too expensive and that they'll eat their ketchup soup and like it. Or they can get locked in the box with their siblings.
If it's not your own kids, the possibilities really open up.
I find candy/puppy and chloroform work just as well. The puppy more so since you can threaten to kill it if the child doesn't comply.
