It’s definitely a personal preference thing. I think that the Chevy Sonic is the overlooked subcompact and is one of the best values in its class. Good HP compared to a Yaris, in the turbo you get a timing chain, and built in the US for cheap. In the “non-sports sub compacts”, I’d go so far to say it’s the best.

I think a Ford miata based roadster would be Boss. Give it a retro throwback body, the ecoboost v6, some manual chrome switches and dials, reinforce the body to be able to pull a small boat/camper, and call it a Thunderbird.

That is partly because it’s DC/New England, partly because it’s one of the “in” cars. Baltimore CL generally has lower prices listed, but even my hometown has those things listed crazy high.
