Line of the night for us was Nick's reading of "I didn't DO anything!! I didn't do anything!!!" Pitch-perfect middle school boy getting in trouble.

Dear Caitlin, if you use powdered sugar with the butter and add a little vanilla extract, that's basically frosting and nobody can shame you for eating frosting by the spoonful. Well, they shouldn't, anyway.

They didn't seem to be, either. It just kept getting more and more grim as the night went on.

Did anyone watch Colbert's Showtime special? It was pretty upsetting.

Yes! I have to admit that I do like some of their current programming (I like some of the holiday baking competitions and Cutthroat Kitchen) but I LOVED Good Eats, the original Iron Chef, and those sugar sculpture competition things so much.

I'm tearing up just thinking about this episode again.

I was genuinely annoyed when I thought that they were setting it up so that Jonathan would be rewarded with Nancy's affections by the end of the series. I am so. tired. of that trope.

Nancy talking about how the monster was like a shark, bear, and lion (among other things) caused my husband and I to name the monster Sharon.

The thing that struck me is that early on she talks about how Will is a really good, sweet, smart kid - to me it seemed like she was trying to make sure he wasn't just ashamed of that part of himself or trying to change it to fit in (even with the "nerdy" kids).

I somehow missed about 90% of the movies people my age grew up with (I still have never seen The Goonies, for example, I didn't see Labyrinth until I was about 20, I only just saw Back to the Future last week and that movie came out the year I was born!) but I still really enjoyed this series a lot. So as someone who

my my my my GOD.

Yeah, they said in an earlier episode his real last name is Poplopovich.

I haven't had the chance to watch this yet (planning on it tonight!) but I'm commenting to appreciate the music theory nerdery in the stray observations.

What, not even MST3K?? Heartless!!!

It okay! Don't be cry!

In a Child Developmental Psychology class, I constantly read the phrase "fine motor skills" in the timbre of "fine leather goods~". Only in my head, mind you, the people in that class thought I was weird enough as it was!

"I'm sorry, I thought you was corn" gets a lot of play around here.

ahahahahaha! I thought it was a really nice touch that ZQ's character had a fairly normal syntax, comparatively, and then indeed pointed out that she sounded just like him. It was a little jarring to hear someone talk basically normally on this show!

I love Salem; it's a little tacky and a lot kitschy and pretty morbid, but it's fun. Unfortunately there's pretty much one way to get in or out of the city and it's completely impossible during the entire month of October. I used to work at the House of the Seven Gables for the season and it was a fun job, although

Yeah, but Danvers doesn't advertise!
