Steve Carell and Wanda Sykes are so good in that movie.

"AAAAAH. LLAMA FACE!" :punch:

I'm halfway through Daniel O'Malley's Stiletto, his sequel to one of my favorite books from a few years back, The Rook. So far I'm a bit disappointed. I wanted more of Myfanwy Thomas adjusting to her new life, but it's been focusing more on a particular Pawn and Grafter. It's fine, just not as fun as the first.

Same here!

The banned from Uber line was the one that got me the hardest, because of COURSE he'd have that low of a rating. God, there is no character currently on my tv that I look forward to more than Jonah.

I pity the apple that doesn't fall down!

His "Oh man, this is AWKWARD" expressions killed me.

“Jeans isn’t a letter! Jeans is pants!” Max Greenfield's delivery of that line was SO PERFECT.

"Why are Gilbert's lips so…sexual?"
""I love Schmidt, but I would throw it all away for Gilbert."

And Then There Were None, Agatha Christie-spurred on by the recent and gorgeous adaptation I decided to finally read this. And it's excellent.

Cheese Whiz is disgusting. As a Philly native, I suggest you try making one with good thinly sliced rib-eye, well seasoned with salt and pepper, cooked with a mix of butter and oil, topped with sauteed onions, and Provolone cheese.

Holy crap are they charming.

Yup, American-most women I know have read the books and are obsessed with the films. I used to rent the VHS copies from our local libraries as a kid. :)

I have a few go-to comfort movies/tv in my rotation:

She might be the most delightful lady ever. I just finished the final season of Justified, and was so thrilled that she had such a huge part.

Or somewhere deep in the heart of Fairmount Park.

So they ARE in danger??

"Oh don't worry, you can just lie there, I won't make you do anything"

Yeah, I'm from Philly, my husband is from Baltimore and has lived in Philly for the past 15 years-other than the way he says ocean "OWE-shun" and wash "warsh" we sound pretty similar.

They sounded vaguely Baltimore by way of Brooklyn to me, but god damn did they make me laugh. I was waiting for one of them to say "down the shore."
