Same. I love reptiles.
Same. I love reptiles.
I just showed this photo to my husband and says if he was unable to procure the alpaca herd I requested for Christmas, I would settle for this little fella. Husband was less receptive than anticipated.
My pal has a bearded dragon. He rules!
My daughter’s school had a resident goanna. It ate the food that the kids left behind after lunch in the playground.
I’ve done a lot of exotic rescue, one of these too. Smart, strong, fast and uhm.. .independent. Very cool creatures. Our rescue was a hair over 6 when she found a forever home.
I love geckos! My cat used to eat them & it broke my heart. Also, bad kitty! They keep the malaria away.
I get it. I wouldn’t do it, because the lizard probably would hate that, but the urge to touch is strong. Such a beautiful creature, and you can’t help but wonder, When they get that big, what does their skin feel like?
Right?! He’s gorgeous!
Agreed.
Marvin, the giant lizard that stalks suburban dads while freaking them the fuck out. Is possibly actually the spirit of meddling, annoyingly chummy people past. Never seems to figure out that his presence isn’t exactly enjoyed. Hates having his picture taken. Craps on the driveway where the whole neighborhood can see…
don’t reptile-shame me
It’s lovely. I’m anti-wild-pet BUT imagine how cute it would be with a lil’ Santa hat on its head.
I mean Jesus Christ, if people can find mice and rats cute (animals who carry any number of gross diseases and scurry around like disgusting little fuckers) surely they can see the cuteness in reptiles.
They are, quite literally, mini dinosaurs. My brother used to have a spotted Gecko who was just beautiful and we were all fascinated by.
I don’t mind them either. My inlaws vacation a lot in the Virgin Islands, apparently there, iguanas hang out and beg for food. Like, you'll be sitting eating on your patio or at an outdoor restaurant and they just sit there and stare at you, like my dog does.
yes okay finally someone gets it.
I read it as 6 year old daughter at first and the image that immediately popped into my head was a little girl sitting in her room having a little tea party with her dolls and this giant lizard sitting across from her with a tiny hat on. Just...accepting it’s new life as Mrs. Nesbitt.
I held a huge ball python around my neck and it was the coolest thing in the world, even when it kind started squeezing me a little too hard. I used to care for a school pet chameleon and I miss that little dude. They’re just really, really cool animals.
My 16 year old daughter would catch it, name it, and tame it within a week. She's like a young Steve Irwin.
