I liked the Favorite I really did. But they erased the husband who was very much alive at the time and focused on the Queen. I think Bird Box is more offensive to the viewers’ intelligence overall than any specific group per se. I mean, she isn’t actually blind in the movie. This isn’t Day of the Triffids (A much better film which, unfortunately, does teach us it is better to be dead than blind so there is that lesson.)
