Thank you for sharing your story. When I was 9, and playing softball in little league, a girl on my team accused the coach of touching her inappropriately. Everyone accused the girl of lying, because her family was poor, and her dad was an alcoholic. My parents wouldn’t let me play with her anymore, and I can remember

Thank you for writing about this. I remember in the 7th grade that there was an 8th girl, kind of popular and already developing, who was rumored to be “having an affair” with the PE teacher/football coach. I remember at that time that we blamed her - that we thought she was a “slut,” that we though she had enough

Insane is expecting someone with an 8-year old in their house to have their gun ready at all times. A responsible gun-owner would have a gun safe or keep the gun and ammo apart.

Women who are victims of domestic violence are 8 times more likely to be killed if there is a firearm in the home.

An armed woman is only stronger than an unarmed man for exactly the length of time that she still has the weapon in her possession.

This is what kills me. When women try to get police help against domestic abusers, they’re told there’s nothing the police can do until he actively tries to murder them. When they shoot or kill their abusers in self defense, police arrest them for murder or attempted murder. And when their abusers kill them, the

I grew up in a household with guns. I am fine with guns. I would own a gun if I felt like I needed one.

Did you read the whole article before you posted?

I need more John Oliver. Like a more frequent John Oliver. Some sort of somewhat daily show, with... with John Oliver.

Yep. Petulant, screaming children feeding on fear, spectacle, and personal conflict drama. A dash of racism, a pinch of xenophobia, and a couple tablespoons of rampant sexism, garnish with essence of internet troll, that’s pretty much today’s GOP and Trump both.

When he says “angry” and “blood coming out of her wherever” what he means is “a woman calmly disagreed with me based on facts and she’s too good-looking for me to insult her attractiveness.”

Who is even talking about abortion? We’re talking about women who need pap smears, mammograms, and other cancer screenings. If we were talking about abortion, your point wouldn’t matter because the Hyde amendment prevents any tax dollars from being spent on abortions.

But he argued that scientific advancements have now verified that unborn babies are human beings — information he said wasn’t necessarily available when the Supreme Court issued its 1973 Roe v. Wade decision.

Yeah, but resetting the boulder afterwards would be such a hassle.

As all things are, I’m sure.

Okay, first of all, I get what this lady is saying but if I ever needed an abortion I would much prefer the tone of whoever is talking to me about it to be “casual”. It’s just a medical procedure, it doesn’t need to be a harrowing and incredibly serious discussion.
I get why she feels the need to apologize, but I don’t

Maybe she just really likes superoxide radicals.

Because why be morally outraged over actual living, breathing children when you can be morally outraged over dead foetuses?
