But do you ask men to change their shoes if you find them gross? And how do you imagine a man would react if you said, "Excuse me, I'd prefer if you didn't wear mandals. Can you maybe put on some overshoes while you are in front of me?"

I think it is interesting how this correlates to what our society sees as the female responsibility for sex and its consequences. If a woman is raped, it is her fault; if the man leaves, she must raise the baby; if she is sex positive she must be called a slut; so on and so on. Since women are primarily the ones who

I kind of hate this line of thought.

On the one hand, my husband's the same way, and I feel good about that since I know it's not a given that any guy would be willing to put the barest minimum of effort into shouldering some of the responsibility for birth control...

But is this really something that makes a guy a

I am one of those people who takes my birth control pill every morning like the boss that I am and when I was paying for it (THANK YOU OBAMACARE!), it would burn me up that men's birth control was condoms. Condoms that they complain about and say how much sensitivity that they lose. Really? That's the side effect

If only the world had some kind of group of men who were angered by the way patriarchy hurt men, and were interested in organizing around those issues to make life better for both men and women. Men who were activists for "men's rights", if you will.

Pretty sure we wouldn't be posting a pic of a woman's cameltoe with a similar headline.

Whoa whoa whoa. Who said anything about GIVING orgasms?

Worst/Funniest pick up line I've ever heard: "How do I know we're having sex later tonight? I'm stronger than you."

Another rookie mistake, Conway said, is focusing too much on "women's issues,"

"There are very few Democratic women who can begin or finish a sentence without mentioning a 'woman's right to choose,'" Conway said, noting that she's actually had her researchers go through hours of remarks by Democratic members, to find a single woman who failed to mention abortion. They haven't found one yet.

I'm so weary of talk of "real women," "whole women," or whatever other word people are using to slice and dice "women" into those who are more worthy and less worthy. If you have lady parts or if you present as a woman, you're a woman who deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. THAT is my pro-life stance.

Here's the problem: you can't extrapolate abortion and other reproductive freedoms from the holistic argument. Anne Romney tried very hard to do this when she was talking about women and the economy, stating that women don't care about birth control. She failed.

I believe the preferred vernacular is unwomen.

I think what they mean is they want a 'whole woman' composed of the composite parts they deem acceptable. Not just any whole woman will do. I found this one, which I think fits the bill. She can be constructed and posed to fit any GOP candidate requirements for a 'whole woman'.

Y'know, if we're going to humor pharmacists who think it's their place to refuse birth control, it isn't asking too much that they be required to put up a sign to that effect, visible to anyone who's thinking about pulling into their parking lot or walking in from the street.

Oh, you mean when you ask your insurance provider to provide you with the service you are paying for, you lose your right to have services provided?

Please don't call it "free." You pay for these things via your premiums and taxes. Calling it "free" gives ammo to the people who allege women want Obama to pay them to have sex.

Yep. I pay insurance premiums every month so my birth control is not free. It's something I already pay toward and now it, along with other preventative services, is being covered in a way that doesn't penalize me for simply being a woman.

Nobody else is paying for it; it's coming from the premiums we ourselves pay.
