I had a black psychiatrist in grad school! I just got lucky. She was amazing! I know one other black woman psychiatrist. And I am a psychologist who works with psychiatrists. It’s sad. The field is getting more diverse but it’s still waaaaay behind. This article is wonderful to read.

I think more than making each other better, Gretchen and Jimmy make each other feel good about themselves. If Gretchen had been at that game show, she would have found some way to humiliate everyone else on that stage just to stick up for Jimmy.

It’s not hard to sing an amazing song well if you have a full band and good acoustics and a half way decent voice. And it’s like your entire job to sing.

Eh, I think there’s something to be said for pureed whole foods rather than the more processed baby foods. I feed my kid both, but I’d prefer the whole foods. I might do this but not for anyone’s benefit but his.
