I guess that's true. I have a child, but I don't have a special needs child, so I don't know everything about the situation, of course. But I do know I would not be able to sleep at night if my child were that sick and I was busy running for public office. I feel like it illustrates his priorities are out of

I guess I feel like it's inconsiderate to run for President (a job so time-consuming) when you have a child as sick as that. Especially with the prognosis that Trisomy 18 has - rarely living beyond the teens. I don't know, if my son had a prognosis like that, I guess I'd want a low-stress job that allowed me to

I can get by with a small heel, but even those kill me after so long. I wore 2 inch heels to work for about a month and I had sciatic nerve pain at night so badly I switched to flats. Sucks because I'm 5'2".

My mother STILL wears Obsession.

I made it to 3:18 trying to keep it in. Now I am shamelessly ugly crying at my desk. Gabby shows us that honor and politics can coexist.

My 2.5 year old son is at this clingy phase too were he follows me room to room, ESPECIALLY the bathroom. my hallway opens up and Ts, and you turn right to get my room and left to the bathroom, and I baby gate that off. I need my own time. Even if that time consists of a 2 year old crying at the baby gate while I

Mandy Moore looks cute as a button. Also, I do not get Kelly Osbourne's hair. I love her to pieces, but I just don't get it. And Abigail Spencer's dress is the most unflattering I've ever seen.

HEARTED. And I love your name! I am so fucking excited for this movie. I start a new job next month and I already requested the premiere day off and my friend is flying in from St. Louis. I've also been YouTubing tutorials on how to braid my hair like Katniss. I'm 27. Not a single fuck is given.

Yeah, I just wonder if they are going to make an "approved list" and everything not on said list you are on your own for. Ugh.

Are they going to start trying to dictate what kind you take though? (As in, forcing the generics?) Because I'm on NuvaRing and there's no generic for that, and I am not switching!

Straight up ugly crying at this Ellen video. What an amazing girl.

The Army is actually switching to a combat PT test, it's been tested on several Army bases. No idea when it will be implemented. I think it includes a mandatory ruck. The events are way different: 60-yard shuttle run, 1-minute rower, Standing long jump, 1-minute push-up, 1½-mile run. I like the idea of the 1-minute

Next thing we know, it'll be Pioneer Woman!

Thanks for clearing that up. A guy who was a reclass (former Cav Scout) was a sniper and he said women couldn't go to SERE school and that's why we couldn't be snipers. Either way, no sniper school for me.

Oh good to know. It must be new. In 2006, I thought I was hardcore and wanted to go to sniper school (which includes SERE school) and my 1SG was like "uh.. you can't."

You get trained with your rifle and you use it regardless of gender, but you cannot go to sniper school which is a horse of a different color.

They always say women are better with rifles - better control, and most women haven't learned bad habits with weapons as a kid going hunting.

Women can't go to Sniper school because in the Army you also have to go to SERE school. In the training they capture you and open palm slap you, etc, and I guess that is a no-go for a woman? I'm not sure. And this may have changed since I went soft as an officer, but as far as I know, no SERE, no sniper.

You see this kind of thing in other branches of service as well. I'm a woman and have been in the Army since 2005. I learned all sorts of things women are not allowed to do - certain jobs you can't have (infantry, etc), certain schools you can't go to (special forces, sniper, SERE, pathfinder, yada yada). There are

I can't stop laughing. Oh my god.
