I……I don't know how to respond to that…….

Since I'm a little younger than a lot of the VSB community, my list of "White People isht" is a bit different and includes:

The show uses- generally- the same core roster of actors but every new season has an entirely new setting and isn't connected to what happened before.
Also, not sure if you already know this, but don't expect the titular "crime" of the season to be solved or have any clear answers as to exactly what happened revealed

Samurai Jack's back, and with a legitimately awesome episode that doesn't rely on nostalgia to hook in the audience; I'm so happy! Hopefully the rest of the mini-series will be as gripping as this first episode.

I've never used panko. How does it fry up?

Garlic parm? Really? Really????

The city of Chicago is the perfect rebuttal to anyone who argues that the segregationist policies of the past don't effect Black people in the present.

I think bm and bw can be equal conduits for white supremacy. But remember; we live in patriarchal society- as in all other things, the menfolk are going to be pushed out in front while the ladies keep to the kitchen.

The school paper? That's crossing several lines.

Lots and lots of hamhocks, bacon fat and caramelized onions.

I've actually had good green bean casserole, though.

If I was to ever dip my toe into that side of the pool, I'm pretty sure I could handle white people.

I have a fundamental problem with that interpretation; to me, it's like saying that the only way Black men can emancipate ourselves is through acts of violence. Sure, violence is often a legitimate way to take back your agency, but it's not the only trick in our repertoire.

I see what you're getting at, but, from my perspective, the fact that Chris survived that situation while keeping his agency means he'll no longer be a conduit for White supremacy. I didn't see any suggestion that he's going to just forget this experience and go back to being what how he was.

Yeah, yeah. I got it.

Then instead of being condescending, why didn't you just ask me what I was talking about? That would have been a lot easier.

I'm sorry, but where do you get off telling me that I'm being hypersensitive and overreactive?

……Logical?

So, then, what? Is killing her the only way to "break the power of the Becky"?

Of course I'm reading into this; this article isn't about how the flats are the best parts of chicken wings. It's a piece that's made to be read into.
