I checked out of the 2nd season when Frank accidentally sold his soul to Henry. Is it worth going back to watch the rest of the season or would you recommend just jumping into the new one?

At this point, I'm convinced Alan Moore doesn't really "do" stories with heart.

I thought the first Run the Jewels tape was good; not great like everybody was saying but still would have been worth spending money on if they hadn't released it for free.

For me, it's J. Cole.

Likewise, I'm fascinated by other countries that don't have the same type of gun culture that we have in the US. To give some perspective; I grew up and currently live in a state where;

Unlike most of the other trap&B artists out there, Fetty Wap hasn't done anything that I've found unbearably stupid or offensive so I really want him to stay winning.

I seriously doubt any White people down here are going to be riding that Shea butter wave. Unless they're college students…

I saw this movie on Hulu a couple of years ago. I was hoping for a more John Woo style heroic bloodshed gun-fest (which, needless to say, isn't close to what this movie gives you) but it was memorable enough that it didn't blend into one of the couple dozen other gangster flicks I've seen. It's got that going for it,…

So 2Chainz was just trying to remind us of our history?

"Even though y'all n*ggas might not cuss like me/ End of the night, y'all just tryin' ta fcuk like me"

Even longer than 3 years, in fact. I'm from South Carolina and the word "twerk" has been around for most of my life, but it was a weird Southern working-class Black colloquialism. I don't even think Black people from other regions of the country started using it until about '04-'05, when Crunk music got super popular.

I really wish FOX had let Daniels keep the cannibalism scene in the show. That's the type of batshit insanity that I come to get from Empire.

Your "normal human relationships" have no place in this show!

I found that one surprisingly aggravating, mostly because I thought that everybody already knew what twerking was.

Fat Joe was the way that I learned Puerto Ricans (and, by extension, other races) used "nigga" in the same way Black people used it. It blew my mind; I'm not exaggerating.

Asher Roth never stopped rapping. Honestly, everything up to RetroHash was packed with bars; it was like after his major label album, he was trying to prove to himself that he could actually rap. A lot of his stuff is actually really good.

Friend, Kreayshawn was just the point where white people learned that basic/bad bitch was a thing. My community has been afflicted with the terms since at least 2006.

Riff Raff seems to make better music when he has someone to play off against.

Lightskinndeded is the new wave, huh? Okay, time to switch my game up.

Oops. I just realized how that sounds. What I meant was, It's not the fact that it's a non-Anglo name; it's the alliteration that gets me.
