Dennett's been my hero since 'The Mind's I' – love that guy.

Well, some people apparently have a limited sense of self. They feel that they're always faking it. (I believe that's one theory about narcissists. They have a limited self, so are always demanding validation for their constructed self because they have no confidence in it.)

I don't know where Satre stands on the issue of free will but I'm differently in concurrence with Dennett on the matter.

I always understood it as a statement about free will and what that means for the self. If you are actually free, than you can have no constraints upon your decision-making. Any substantive notion of a self, however, would be such a constraint since it would involve things like desires, values, predilections, etc that

My favorite is the one where Neo actually hits his head leaving the telephone box at the end of The Matrix, and the two sequels are just a product of his unconscious, rabidly concussed, logic-compromised fever dreams.

Let The Right One In Space- a young boy, a passenger on a long-term colony ship, begins to suspect that his mysterious crewmate is actually a vampire.

Not gonna lie, when Ben Linus was parading as Henry Gale, I wasn't a fan. It wasn't until his soliloquy after giving Ana Lucia the map to the hot air balloon that he reeled me in as a huge fan.

When he decided to live out his days in that alternate universe, I thought, wow, maybe I'll actually miss this guy. Only to have him triumphantly return in one of the first truly bad ass moments in the new DW series.

Hated Jack from Lost, with a passion that could fuel a small nation for a decade. That is, until he went from this type-a douche to batshit insane. For what it's worth, I'm one of those weirdos who thought the show got better over time.

Angkor Wat in its heyday.

The construction of Nan Madol. I really just want to know how they did it.

1. Though it's more of an ongoing thing, to eyewitness the landing and foundings of the Jamestown or Plymouth colonies would have been amazing.
