VaatiVidya got me hooked on Bloodborne lore.

The git gud thing is kinda real. As has been said, coming from Bloodborne to this was a huge shock and I had to get out of that dodge-whack-dodge mindset.

That’s a thing I could get behind. Like Deus Ex’ss’s’s’ story mode. It’s done right in that you still have to actually play but you’re not going to have hit your head against the wall if you didn’t build properly, etc.

That’s the thing, defeating the mid-bosses makes you better but then sometimes you just hit the wall. DS/BB you could grind, get better weapons, etc.

Yup, a schoolmate got into a bit of trouble because he was reading Stephen King in sixth grade. I forget which book it was.

I’ve played and beaten DS1/DS3 and Bloodborne lots of times. I’ve only just really adapted to parrying (hey I’m old!) but I’m doing just fine now. Some people just don’t like it, like a friend that didn’t like DS or Bloodborne but actually seems to enjoy Sekiro which is amazing.

But then you couldn’t soak in the agony (wif a fren) that was getting all the way to the top of the tower (ghost piranha) before fighting Murai only to have to go back down (ghost piranha) to get more potions and then back up (ghost piranha) to then beat the living piss out of Murai on Master Ninja after weeks of…
