Those BBS RKs will always do it for me. I really wish that we added those to the 01 SE Convertible that we had.

Upgrades:

I just finished showing all the guys at work my new car. You guys were too late. Better luck next time.

$6500 is way too much for a 16 year old Saab with 172000 miles, even if it is a Viggen. That’s S60R money. I think this is another case of nostalgia gone awry. This opinion is in now way influenced by the fact that I’ve got my 2004 Aero convertible listed for sale for $4k right now.

take a look above, I was the owner and posting the list.

He mentions the Viggen Rescue Kit in the ad which significantly reduces torque steer. Had one on my 900SE that put 270 to the front wheels and it was like driving a different car.

This was my car. It sold on Sunday. The viggen was a dream car of mine for a while. I found it a few years ago, and made it my own.

Probably pretzeled and in the garbage.

Ostensibly to keep people from injuring their knee(s) on the keys in the column in a frontal crash.

If there’s anything that’s more rare than a Viggen, its a Viggen still on it’s original 5 spoke rims that aren’t bent to hell. A lot end up rolling on BBS or factory Saab Double Y’s.

Too many miles, especially with an up powered chip in it.

My head says, “Nej!” but my heart says, “Ja!”

Imagine being a 75 year old guy, and someone’s giving you testosterone shots, having your chug Red Bull, and making you run 20 miles a day. That’s what imagine it’s like being the turbo-charged, chip-enhanced, 177k mile motor in this car. The car is badass for sure, but something’s gonna blow.

NP all day, every day. I hope one of the upgrades was a Viggen Rescue Kit steering rack brace...tough to tell since it looks like the post was deleted.

My ‘02 9-3 5 speed was the most fun I’ve had on four wheels- and I include my Integras and e39 when I say that. Damn, I miss Saab.

On the one hand, it’s a Viggen. On the other, it’s a 16-year old GM with 170,000 miles.

The Viggen is a 9-3, but on crack. It has the bigger B235R engine (from the 9-5), uprated suspension, larger wheels, brakes, beefed up clutch, and of course all the bells & whistles and body skirts/panels. I’ve owned one since 2005 and I still love it, torque steer and all :)

It’s gone... 6500 must have been the sweet spot. This would have been the viggen to have.

I like them, but I think it’s a bit pricey for those miles. A little bit newer (post oil sludge years) and fewer miles, and I’d be all over it.

Only 421 Viggen 5-door models were imported into the U.S. for 2000.
