I thought Aziz and Eric's friendship came across really genuine in the second episode! So when it was followed up with this episode, I was so taken back by the awkward chemistry between him and his actual parents.

I'll be honest, I had to skip this episode about halfway into it. I love that Aziz uses his real family members in the show, but they just throw off the timing and vibe of the show. It suddenly feels so scripted and stiff compared to Aziz's very natural performance. I'd rather have these scenes with his parents as

Love love love the relationship between Aziz and Eric. So I think this was my fave ep of the season.

I haven't read the story and I was really excited about this, but it was just way too much style over substance for me. I have no idea what's going on and I'm not sure anything is really pulling me in to learn more about the story or any of the characters. I don't know, I feel like this was a pretty bad pilot for

I also thought this was one of the worse and most frustrating episodes of the season. Surprised it scored so well compared to last week. Glad there's only one ep left to watch, I'm done with this season. Please let me be free!

I was a little worried how it would look, but they basically have just perfected the style and animation of the original series.

It was really impressive. I think that's why I noticed the sound design so much as well. Also a lot of fun cheering from fans.

I went to the screening at the Ace Theater and they showed the first three episodes which flowed together so well. This show is back better than ever and I think it's the best looking cartoon I've ever seen. Possibly the best sounding cartoon as well.

Thank you AV Club for bringing back these reviews! I haven't seen the episode yet, but very happy for the return of both the show and reviews.

A house of Cosbys with no Cosbys is no House of Cosbys.

Yeah those bits were just not working at all. I'm not so sure it was a parody of bad improv. Seemed more like straight up bad improv.

I was SO happy they left the pig on the island and stuck with the dumb chicken as Moana's sidekick. Smart smart move.

yeah it was, but also it probably made me that much more invested in the movie like "dang without her, how will these characters possibly form a bond?? guess I better keep watching!"

I guess I have a lot more movies to watch!

Kind of a shame that a lot of movies have moved their title sequences to the end of the film. Because I agree with the video that they can be a really amazing way to introduce the audience to the tone/story/setting/character before the movie.

nah

save pepe. I wish the guys who made this would have at least avoided posting the frog on the album cover. They're artists, they're comedians, try and help Furie out and avoid the alt right = pepe correlation!

"This is a pure example of why coming to a creative type with a project and then giving them free rein is among the worst ideas on the planet…."

love Tom Cruise and the idea of a new Mummy movie sounds fun, but come on that was a strange trailer. Plz give us the Tom Cruise that is charismatic and entertaining and fun and charming and not just generic action hero lead (aka Jurassic World's Chris Pratt)

absolutely. As strangely out of place as it was, it was still comedy gold.
