Even with the differing views on the quality of the endings, TW:WH2 is objectively a WAY better game than the first one was. Way more factions, way more characters, huge army rosters, etc. I can’t even go back and play the first since everything from the first game is in 2 and then some. plus the UI is way better.

It’s the same as “Kotaku reports”. It’s a shorthand for the publication, pretty standard for any journalistic reference. The author itself is named only if relevant, past employment or not, or if somehow it breaks with the publisher stance.
