Redirection used to work for my two year old. Unfortunately, she - like myself - is unable to let her immediate fixations go. Her focus and determination to have her question, request, issue, or observation resolved is nearly unlimited. FWIW, “no” rarely works without a full scale meltdown either.

This is what I was afraid of, and now having seen it confirmed I’ll just pass on this album.

Fuck. In addition to the articles, your comments (and those of a few others) are one of the reasons I kept coming back.

Welcome to the “War on Wall.”

And I guess similarly, I know Blair was an idiot for being close with Bush but I couldn’t tell you any of his domestic policies.

Eventually it will just be called a shocktail, and the rad bodacious 90s will make their grim return.

Why go whisky, when I can get the real deal for way cheaper from local grocer? All I’m saying is my daily tide-pod night cap ain’t killed me yet.

I will add there is an issue with reckless doctors more or less getting a pass. It’s hard to get another doctor to testify against a reckless doc.

Power is different from responsibility (i.e. duty). That article is spot on about their powers. Cops are generally under no more responsibility while off duty than on.

Malpractice is for civil claims, docs nurses and other healthcare professionals do get tossed in prison from time to time for murder.

First, I have some bias when it comes to sleep apnea - I’ll get to that in a second.

If we are all in a crowded theater, and someone shouts fire (regardless if there is a fire) when does the panic start? When do people start hurting others in an attempt to “save” themselves? When we’re watching a movie we don’t trample kids because there is an implicit agreement not to, but sometimes shit goes

What seems unfair is that other offenders have gotten sentences that are far too long for the crimes they committed. We shouldn’t fix the system by saying “well John got 15 for his 3rd weed conviction, so guyger is a murderer so she should get more!” No, John shouldn’t have a 15 year sentence to begin with.

What if you urinate on it while it’s raining?

What is delusional is to think reconciliation or forgiveness is the point, as Guyger’s attorney implied. Brandt Jean’s hug was not a political statement but a personal one, and it’s a distinction we need to make if we want to live in a world where his older brother is still alive. Because getting caught up in cheap

Sorry, I just replied to you because both I agreed with you and I thought doing so would be more for the comment to get ungreyed - as I am apparently back in the greys. Often when my reply disagrees with person I directly respond to that comment just sits all greyed.

So are you saying that the majority of people with murder sentences are being released in about 15 years? —The type of murder in which it was an intentional (targeted/planned) act to be more specific.

He didn’t appear to read the article he later cites. The average sentence is not 15 years, it’s 40.6 years.

Yeah, the prospect of five just felt too real.
