My parents own a black 2007 Camry, and now that I’ve read your comment, that is literally all I can see when I look at these pictures. The taillights and body shape are spot-on.
They’ve definitely never been to New Orleans though.

That was a fascinating read, and a topic that has legitimately never occurred to me. I must admit, it made me think about how I’ve used this. I don’t write journalism - I write movie reviews and political bullshit on social media. But when I’m making a specific claim about an unconvicted criminal, I use “allegedly”.…
As an attempted defense, I think it’s intended to save them from legal consequences, not prevent them from getting fired.
But I agree with Humboldt above - there’s no such thing as consensual sex in this situation.
My thoroughly non-religious wife says bless you. I don’t get it.
First comment on that article :) The stopped traffic in the oncoming lanes include a box truck, an empty lane, and a trolley. The black car ran the light. The camera couldn’t see it because it was blocked by the BMW, but the red car to his right definitely noticed and braked earlier.
This happened in my 2008 Scion xB. Heard a loud noise on the freeway, and had the plastic cover closed, but didn’t realize the issue until I got to work.
Took a long time to get fixed because it turns out the previous owner was a fucking maniac who decided it would be a good idea to peel the car open like a sardine…
The comment, the Janet, the username - all of this is good.
1. Genetics.
2. Youth.
3. A whole lot of long-term, slow-burn healthy lifestyle crap.
4. Exercise (but not really for any other reason than to be healthy).
5. Surgery.
Yeah, honestly, Tarantino has always struck me as a bit of a creep, but when he made his statement, my reaction was, “Finally, someone who’s not a total fucking coward.”
It’s a pretty low bar, but there ya go.
I was watching The Good Fight, and it features a main character who is in a same-sex relationship, and at one point, we meet her ex-boyfriend. I don’t think I made that connection until you point it out just now, but...you’re right. Chasing Amy (which was mindblowing for me in my younger years) laid the groundwork for…
Surely Tiffany Trump’s weirdly, hyponotically catchy single deserves more scrutiny.
In the intervening years, I’ve been on a 787 (albeit on the ground, at the Museum of Flight), and I’m certainly impressed by the thing. Electronics have gotten significantly cheaper since then, so I’m perhaps a bit less wary about this - but on a commercial airplane, I at least believe that minor electronic components…
It was new to me this year. Mind-blowing. Should be taught in every US history class.
Not sure why, but this feels like a slightly creepy request. Not quite on par with “Leave your blinds open at night...for your neighbors”, but it feels like it’s in a similar ballpark.
I once tried to explain how redlining kept African Americans from accruing wealth at the same rate as white people and he said I sounded “like a black man making excuses”. And he said “black man” with all disrespect.
Redlining also created ethnic enclaves which could more easily be attacked, robbed, and destroyed.…
Problem is, *no one* else was there. No one truly knows why Trayvon was killed, but it’s *assumed* it was ultimately because of the color of his skin. Zimmerman’s life, as he knew, it ended as a result of that assumption.
Can I play the “dumbass gun-owning civilian cosplaying as a neighborhood commando” card?…
“not-scalping”
Lulz. I love it when racist stereotypes aren’t just caricatures, but outright historical stupidity. The colonists brought scalping to the Americas. Every side continued it in the wars that followed. Many of the American colonies offered bounties for native scalps well into the 18th century.
The…
This is an accurate description of what I experienced for the first couple of years (on mobile or desktop), but it really hasn’t been a problem for a while.
Equal time. Yeesh. I swear, this moron was frozen in the 1970s and thinks he’s still living there.
He just shot his mouth off to an audience of 40.1 million Twitter followers that he wants “equal time”. What the hell does that even mean in 2017, where literally everyone has a public platform for anyone who decides to…
SUPER-heavy caveat: Anyone calling Black Lives Matter a terrorist group is wrong and dumb and racist. I’ve marched with BLM, and I’m not attempting to make that association at all here.
That said, saying that some “black identity extremists” - admittedly a very strange term - probably exist and may be a violent threat…
