I’m disappointed that the first comment is already dismissive of the entire concept of thinking critically about topics like this. I found the article very informative and enlightening, and I think we should be having conversations like this. Writing it off as “just cosmetics” isn’t helping anything. Caring about

Like they had 240, at this point they’re just milking e-sports sponsors and whales, cause those things will fetch a hefty price tag.

In a rational world that valued outcome as much as intent, this would be greeted as the equivalent of shouting “Heil Hitler”. I don’t care how “well intentioned” you think communism is “on paper”

I’m really trying to find the connection you’re making here.
This dude had absolutely nothing to do with the creation and making of Evangelion.

You can visit whoever the heck you want as long as you don’t shout at me about it.

This is a bad take. It’s cool that you’re pumped to see Jolteon and Hitmonlee and Rhydon roaming around the wild area. It is equally cool for someone to be upset that they don’t see Bulbasaur, Squirtle, or Beedrill roaming around. I see a lot of these pieces that are framed like “Well you would never catch all 900+

When invalid analogies are levied as tractable arguments: a study.

Stabbing someone with an 8 inch knife and then pulling it back out 4 inches is not progress.

It is not, and yet too many miss that basic fact.

Twice as often.

I don’t think this solves the core problem here. While action skills are very useful as you level up and play through the campaign, they have virtually no further scaling in the end game. Any character or build that relies on their action skills to boost their damage will find themselves unable to keep up in mayhem

Everyone deserves to keep their dignity, including the accused. I don’t necessarily agree that “cancel culture” killed him, but he was clearly already suffering, and the tsunami of hate and abuse from people not willing to wait to find out if the stories were true, probably did kill him.

It's not apology, its proof the accusations against him were lies. If I accused you of a murder you didn't commit would you apologize for murder?

As someone who had years and years of fun with the content the studio produced, I’m appaled by this. People working there played a very important part in me having more interest and appreciation for japanese culture in general. KyoAni is still one of my favorites. This is entirely too sad.
May the f*cked who did this

Hmm, now off to watch that no-cut chase sequence in Tintin...

I think people understate the anger of the fanbase. This National Dex thing (which was a problem since Sun and Moon though those games allowed you to keep every old pokemon, even if they don’t have a dex entry), is just the straw that camel back. There has been many details over all games that have accumulated and

Hopefully we’ll never see realistic Dayon.

That is easily, and without any hint of exaggeration whatsoever, the worst E3 press conference I’ve ever seen. My expectations were low, and I still came away disappointed. 60% of it was shit nobody cared about or asked for (I’m looking at you, near constant self-congratulatory B-roll footage), 30% shit we’ve already

I’m not sure its them that are liars... well they are but at some point beta became a term that is applied to the version of a game the public are allowed to play, rather than the stage in development when it was pretty solid but not finished.
