I used to think that too, but this game monetizes every single part of it's gameplay, it's the worse it's ever been for ubisoft. And spoiler alert, it never gets better, prepare for this on assassin's creed or whatever flavor Ubisoft game you like.

In ubisoft's ideal world you would play the game every day and visit the store just as often. That's why their games feel so exhausting and endless.
