There were also racial immigration quotas. Didn't all get lifted until something like 1956. That's why OP grew up speaking another language, cause most of us Asians are recent immigrants. It's also why we hate when people question where Obama was born, cause that's us too.

    Why?

    Good point.

In a Latin American country, American women told me about all the catcalls they got. As if it's different from here. So I'm confused.

I dunno. Since when has "talent" mattered in pop culture? Older folk like to forget that Mick Jagger can't sing worth shit, yet they love to get on Miley's case for her supposed lack of talent. Heck, I grew up listening to the Sex Pistols and it was a point of pride that Johnny Rotten had no singing talent.

Good grief. Are you for real?

Well, but we don't know what she takes feminism to mean in her answer to that question.

The poll numbers are from a national survey. Jezebel put their own poll for its readers below that. I haven't looked at the results for the Jezebel poll, but, yes, I'd imagine it would differ from the national survey.

I think it's just a vocal minority that wants to view this all as lies. The majority who doesn't masturbate often is off-line doing something else. Or they're looking at cat videos.

"axed" isn't wrong; just a dialect variant that even Chaucer used.

I dunno. But I heard a lot of "bitch" and "nigger."

After lots of clicks, finally saw the video. Not pretty, but your description is off.

Maybe cause they're not a bunch of prudes?

Oh, indeed. I live in a poor part of Indiana and miss the excitement that cities in Europe offer. And we have "big cities" in the US, but only a few of them still have a living, breathing soul in the city center. Most are totally empty at night...

    Yeah, I saw that... Unfair!

I dunno. There's several places I wish I was still living in rather than the US. There are big differences, just that one shouldn't base them on a brief vacation.

    Thanks. No wonder.

Oh, yeah, that's right! At first I thought I had misheard that part when they said it.

Yeah. I went to Madrid recently with a friend there for the first time and I gave him firm advice about that.

That reminds me of the various popular names for syphilis. Some blame it on the French, others on the Spanish...
