I have checked with a polymeter plenty of times that when there are several batteries in series, one of then lowers it voltage faster. Some times I have found 1 exhausted (ie 1.05 Volts) while the other three are acceptable (around 1.45 Volts). I like electronics but I work in neuroscience. I have no idea why this…
