But didn’t she call her Holly in front of Nick? Or am I misremembering?

I really enjoyed this episode until the last few bits. When June handed the baby to Emily, I jokingly said to my wife “June’s going to stay and fight because she’s an idiot.” But then it was right.

I both hated this episode and absolutely loved it, just like this entire season. I thought the scene in the car with Annie Lennox’s Broken Glass blaring and Alexis Bledels wonderful acting.... was absolutely spectacular, just unbelievably uncomfortable on so many levels. Everything this show is about in one scene.

Serena quite recently helped violently rape June.

They're more on the nose than ever!

I don’t think there’s two modes in the way you’re telling it. The complexity and complicity, in life, sit by side with resistance and liberation. Women live in the patriarchy, too, but they also have powerful voices (broad brushstrokes here, but you get my point). The frustrating thing is not those two things

Yes to all this. The gradual crawl towards redemption for Serena was really troubling this season, especially since the writers undo all of that by having her turn evil over and over again on a dime.

Fred certainly has been consistent in his BS.
“You let them do that to her?!”
“There are rules we must observe. Hey, how about you stay on and we try for a boy?”
“Not allowed. There are rules.”
“High-ranking commanders can bend the rules.”
Uggh.
I’d much rather have seen June leave with Emily and Nichole, but as eliza-cat

They do. Also I’m lying.

Harriet Tubman at the very least made it to the free states before she returned to rescue other slaves, utilizing the resources of the abolitionists.

Was “call her Nichole” not supposed to sound like some sort of Stockholm Syndrome madness? I don’t get it. Serena quite recently helped violently rape June. She has shown her extreme cruelty. She has beaten her. Yeah, she was un-shitty for a few moments to relinquish the (someone else’s!) baby, but she doesn’t deserve

Honesty in the season finale; honest discussion and argument between June and Rita and then June and Serena. “We tried to put her on the path to God.” Interesting. Eden’s father is ashamed and apologetic for Eden’s conduct. “You have another daughter,” Fred asks. Her own parents turned her in. Uh-oh, June. The

This is all happening because Sean wouldn’t listen to King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard.

Boy I really want to live in the sweet land of milk and honey that is the universe where this is actually the worst tweet ever.

The retool of this show stripped it of any charm it actually had. I loved the weird scifi stuff in the first half of the season. The rest of the season post-retool felt very different and I just didn’t think it was that good.

Give her shifty eyes?

This season has just been filled with high stakes that go nowhere.

Is it OK that I had never heard of or seen this commercial campaign until it was mentioned in this headline? Did it only run on sports shows?

Thank God this is finally out hopefully the commercials for it will finally go away.
