Agreed! I put some on my hypermotard 821 and they are amazing. On the road they gave me more confidence. The Rosso II’s I had before needed counter steering into corners, with these you just press on the bars and no twitchy feedback. On gravel and dirt roads they also feel great. Only downside is that after 3000 miles

Tippy toes. But if I need to plant the ball of one foot I shift towards one side and keep the other foot on the peg. I’m used to it now, so it’s really no big deal. If I need to move the bike, I get off and push it around.. Short people problems.

I'm 5'6 on a good day. Have the standard model. Put the hyperstrada seat which is .5" lower. I'm on my toes, but manage the bike well since it's pretty light.

I had a similar issue with mine. I bought it used with 2000 miles. Within a week it went into limp mode with all kinds of lights going off on the dash. Took it in to my local Ducati dealer. Bike still had a warranty and it was transferred to my name. It was a recall on the ride by wire. I’ve put 7k miles since without

I’ve done 750 miles on a day on a Hypermotard 821(with strada seat) It’s surprisingly comfy. This season I have bolted the strada screen and this machine has become my tourer. I also love the riding position. My city bike is a BMW G650X Country. Poor man’s Husky 701??

Glad you chimed in. I was going to say the same thing. I love mine. I need to up my off-road game, but on the tight twisties, it rips. It can keep up with much more powerful bikes. I wish I could ride my hypermotard as hard as the X Country... Maybe someday, ha!

Black + Gold Rims would be killer.

Ha! I owned a XR1200. I didn’t get any love from either Harley Riders or Sportster riders and My friends on Bonneville’s would talk shit about it, but I think that was mostly cause it was the only sportster that would run circles around their bikes.

Check out the 07-09 BMW G650X Series. About 350lbs wet and 53HP. They have 3 flavors: X Moto, X country and X Challenge. I have the X Country, a blast to ride. I’m quicker on it on tight stuff than on my 821 Hypermotard. It’s much easier to rip on. (at my riding level)

Rumors say there’s a 400CC Scrambler on the way.

You can pick up a used hyper/hyperstrada for around 8k. (I’ve seen a few on CL) And I bought mine at that price from a Dealer. (2300 miles) Surprisingly capable as a tourer, I’ve done 700+ miles in a day and that’s without a windscreen.
