Notepad’s best function, for me anyway, has always been cleaning up formatting and other unwanted bullshit that’s embedded in copied text. Hopefully this would not be affected.

Anyone who cares about this is most likely already using NotePad++ or something similar. 

The most important change is notepad will FINALLY support unix/linux and mac line endings so documents created on unix or mac will finally display properly in Windows without having to install a 3rd party text editor.
