They should have done that to begin with. Just jump to the "Spartacus in Warcraft" story focused on one character right away, rather than having an entire tedious movie of set up and exposition.

Rogue One was kind of a soulless mess. It looked pretty, but the storyline reeked of studio intervention.

It used to be that place. AV Club has become indistinguishable from every other place on the internet now, though.

I'm really sick of politics on AV Club, honestly. They aren't particularly good at covering politics. And everything is saturated with politics now. Can't there be a place to go on the internet to get away from it?

It's really hard for anything to be transgressive anymore, just because culture has fractured into a bunch of separate reality bubbles and technology allows us to completely control the content of our individual bubbles. Why would anyone who might be offended or challenged by Drag Race allow themselves to be so when

It's the definition of criticism of all TV. It's very rare a show stays innovative its entire run. It seems like season 2 or 3 is the peak in so many cases, as that's the time it takes for a show to find its voice. But it's very rare that a show doesn't end up letting that voice ossify into a formula.

Basically the same as doing a nude scene in a movie, except for the part where another dude sticks his dick in your wife and jizzes inside her on video. But, yeah, basically no different.

Kanye is a business transaction for Kim. And a smart one.

Honestly, I don't think Kokomo is terribly different than their other music. So I don't understand the hatred for it. Or I do understand the hatred, because it's a shitty song. But I think it's just as shitty as 90% of all of their other shit music. I really hate the Beach Boys, though. All of their songs sound

It's not very good. It's not really bad, either, it's just completely mediocre. I watched the first 2 episodes and gave up. Maybe it gets better, I don't know.

I can't wait for Kinja. I've been looking for an excuse to stop coming here for years. Finally, sweet release. Old habits die hard, I guess.

Poor you. "Woe is me! My sister might not like a book I recommended!"

Yeah, they used to have a splash banner promoting new stuff, but it's been gone for me lately. I suspect it might be because I started using their app, rather than their website.

Netflix does a terrible job of promoting everything. I had to search for this by hand and I never would have known it existed if I hadn't read about it on AV Club. That happens alot. I usually find out about stuff elsewhere, rather than in Netflix's app.

It was right before her brief period when she married Lyell Lovett and became tabloid fodder. Although, I'm pretty sure she filmed Flatliners before she got massively famous in "Pretty Woman," then they played her role up in the release to bank on that.

To be fair, the original film wasted the premise.

The original was probably just an elaborate comb over.

They fixed everything. It runs fine on most systems now.

Brady Sequel is great. Better than the first. Those movies are weird to watch now because they are spoofing the 1970s, but are basically the most 1990s movies ever.

A few individual GOT episodes would definitely be 90s NC-17 (the early Theon/Prostitute sex scene in season 1 of GOT would def be NC-17). As would American Gods and Spartacus. In the 90s, any sort of ass thrusting motions during sex would usually get an NC-17, as would dicks in the context of a sex scene. People
