Finally, my Reddit addiction is good for something.

Pardon my language for a second:

Just a heads up about a few "features" that also made it into this new version, according to the reviews I've read in the iTunes App Store:

Thanks for the heads up on this. I now have another piece of camera gear I need to save up for.

I'm really liking the update, but I was really hoping for true iPad support. Tumblr especially seems like a social network built for the iPad - big beautiful photo streams. Any word on when this might happen?

I agree. While iOS and Android are different platforms, their icon-based UI/navigation is very similar and seems stuck in an older mode of thinking about how people interact with their devices. Although Android does allow widgets, so I'll give them that. But Metro looks clean, exciting, and most importantly:

WHATABURGER! (Sorry - as a fellow Texan, I had to acknowledge the greatness that is Whataburger.)

I agree. I actually just put in my vote for Songza on a recent Lifehacker Hive Five poll. Completely free, ad-less listening, many options for creating playlists based on artist, genre or mood. Very cool.

Man, I'm really sorry I missed this Hive Five - while Pandora has been a long time standard, I've recently been using Songza - [songza.com] - and I think the service is much better. It follows the same "radio station" format, but you you can choose a station based on artist, mood, or genre. There are tons of playlists

The internet has been won, folks. So long, good night.

Nice call on the salt! I'll have to try that.

Good call!

Time for a little South Texas representation in this comment thread - this post made me smile out loud, since (as you have probably ascertained from the previous comments) every Tejano I know has been heating up their tortillas this way since I can remember.

VOTE: Procreate for new iPad. Beautiful UI, simple to use, tons of features.

Yeah, it's been great on the iPad, but it is restricted on the XBox right now.

I actually had a related experience with my 10-year-old daughter not to long ago when I was showing her how to use our point-and-click camera to shoot video. The icon on the dial for video mode is a piece of film strip, and she asked me "what is that supposed to be?"

Great! Now if only Time Warner and HBO could reach an agreement to allow HBO Go on the XBox.

You have won today, good sir.
