Mazda rotaries are the same way. A 52mm nut holds the flywheel on to a taper fit shaft. 3/4" breaker bar with a pipe over the end removes it better than an impact in my experience.

From all the comments I’m reading of attendants stopping people from reaching the pumps, they prevent that altogether at some stations I’ve seen in Japan:
