You see, when the Formula E cars rounded the corner right in front of my grandstand, I could hear everything.

Do you think Joest will jettison the engine? Like I said, the MZR-R wasn’t reliable when it was new almost 10 years ago. Mazda won a championship in ALMS only because the one other P1 didn’t show up to every race.
The 3 rotor they were using is more than a few hp short of what’s needed now, but it would at least finish a race.
Team Joest is returning to petrol power with another marque that used to be known for racing a rad diesel car: Mazda’s IMSA team.
The cars are too long for all those hairpin turns, like their designers had circuits with long straights in mind. Shorter wheelbases would have helped here, and maybe made more overtaking possible. Since Formula E competes on city courses, the cars should really be designed for it.
I don’t know about having fewer stops than the competition, but interviews from people involved say there were no extended stops because nothing broke down. It was a tortoise and hare race.
All true. The ban was for all engines that weren’t 3.5L because evil troll Bernie Ecclestone wanted to turn sports car racing into F1 with covered wheels, which ended up bringing manufacturers into F1 and killing the World Sportscar Championship.
I’m a total rotard, but that sounded way too farty.
Buy the cheapest car that will run reliably, then spend the leftover cash on a new, comfortable driver’s seat and replace the shocks.

No kiss hello references?

Anyone else notice Buzz’s huge eyeroll when Pence says “second man on the moon” at the beginning? Does he have a beyond the grave rivalry with Neil?
I feel the same way. My toy car (‘82 RX-7) was grey but when it needed a complete respray I went for a bright blue. My daily is black and the one before that was white.
*ahem* every Belgian kid.
The snarky side of me says it’s because the GT-R’s AWD system is too weak for racing use, but I believe class rules dictated RWD. World Challenge did allow an AWD Acura TLX until last year, they had to switch to get classified into GT3. Also, the GT1 GT-R is a non-turbo V8.
Neither are these GT1 and GT3 types:
The line must be drawn HEEYA
I agree on prettier, the DB9 also seems like more of a doctor’s car while a V12 Vantage is more boy racer.
