Another vote for vintage racing. Everything from grand prix cars to touring cars from all eras with an open paddock. Sure, the racing isn’t up to professional level; it’s more like a car show with no show queens and I can get to see and hear them all at (mostly) full throttle.
Button G, the Homing Robot.
The dimension altered the driver’s perception of speed and introduced a speed-phobia after slowing down. To combat the phobia a GRX driver needed to inhale V-gas which made him thirsty and drinking water negated the effects. That was a cool episode.
The Jaguar XJS was doomed from the start. It was tough enough to have to follow the sensational E-type, but BL build quality made it even more atrocious.
It was funny and sad when Mazda took a manufacturer’s championship one year because they had 2 cars for more points and the Muscle Milk car didn’t show up to all the races.
Did you mean RX-8? I think it’s a bit harsh singling out Mazda because there were other tube framed cars like the Corvette, Camaro, G8, and BMW (6 series?). As far as being eyesores, they at least looked like a production car (unlike IMSA GTO cars) which created a surreal viewing experience when the RX-8 would…
They ran a 20B at one point in ALMS, but quit because of chassis fitment troubles and kept switching engine builders.
It was pretty cool watching that turbo-4 in ALMS. In the wet races you could tell when the boost kicked in because the rear went squirrelly at corner exit. Only shame was that there were only 2 or 3 cars in the P1 class.
Byyyyyyyyyyyyyy MENNEN
Porsche was alarming faster on straights at Silverstone and Spa yet Audi still took those races. Unfortunately, it looks Audi is the safe bet for a win, but hey, anything can happen.
Prodrive just tried too much by developing a chassis and engine in too short a time frame. It would’ve been cool to have a straight 6 on the grid.
I thought the Jaguars were faster, they won the previous year and another before that. They had to slow down or would have gone over their fuel allocation. Mercedes’ failure was more due to negligence. Details of that are towards the end of this article.
Make 7
Yep, Pulse Performance puts their logo on their housings, the 6 rotor RX-4 they built last year has a flat graphic. The rest of the housing looks OEM, so I think they added material and then cut the letters. If you check out the build video on Speedhunters, you can definitely see they’re not peripheral ported.
Other than both having 4 rotors based on the 13B, they’re very different.
That was like a less drawn out version of this RX-7 video:
If you’re done, be done and just DON’T REPLY. You think having the last word matters? Fine.
Chill out, you could’ve stopped any time you wanted. Don’t let strangers on the internet stress you out.
Clarkson hater? Hardly. Unlike you, I don’t think Clarkson can do no wrong. His stress is the same type of drama celebrities go through when they think they’re the whole world.
