Why not just a battery?

OK, I’ll bite. Why shouldn’t a trailer be self-powered so it hauls its own weight? Batteries in a layer below the floor and the electric motor goes to the trailer’s axle—boom. But here’s the key: the trailer’s electronics would interface to the car’s electronics so the trailer’s motor would be “throttled” by the car’s

I’m going to miss you terribly, Patrick. Thanks for the help you’ve given me.

If you’ll indulge me for a moment: after almost eight years, approximately 5 million Kinja posts and, thankfully, only one incarceration, today is my last day at Jalopnik.

Retouched or not that’s a lot of scratch for a car that debuted for under $70k, over a decade ago...

My wife would break my legs in my sleep.

Far-ish. I’m in DFW. Still....might be worth it and I haven’t been out of the state in a while.

Same.

Because Mahindra is essentially just renting the Jeep IP.

And it ONLY applies to the Indian market, not the United States.

The modern Wrangler looks nothing like an old one other than four wheels and a grill and maybe a removable top and doors.

Compared with the likes of the Urus, Bentayga, and Cullinan, this actually looks pretty darn good!

The Pontiac G6 GXP came from the factory with this thing. It was like, a generic brand Porsche whale tail.

You know, it’s actually a pretty decent looking car that I would even consider buying. But ditch the mustang nameplate, all you’re doing is pissing people off and alienating some of your potential buyers. The amount of people that will buy this based on it being a “mustang” has got to be a pretty short list of some

Their pit strategy has lost them more races than the engine reliability. If they had called their races better, they would certainly have 3 additional wins, if not 6! Mercedes seems to outfox them every week in the strategy department.

Funny you should mention that. This car was *on* BaT a few weeks ago, and was a no-sale at $7100. I love, love, LOVE MkII Jettas, and (as a member of the class of ‘94) this one ticks all of the right boxes for me, but yeah... At $16.5, this is solidly CP for me.

I don’t think anyone will ever do that.  I haven’t thought about one of these cars in 20 years.  Why would anyone else, even further in the future?

Press X to doubt. If these were a hot item, they’d be going for $16k now. It’s a 27 year old point-and-steer econobox, like that 1982 Camry they had on here the other day.

They must all be at SEMA. I have yet to see one in the wild.
