I completely agree. The NBA could take steps to turn the NBADL into a real minor league when the current labor agreement ends in a year, and both the NHL & MLB already have minor leages. The problem is there is nothing remotely in place for the NFL. So college is the default minor league.

Forget about the football program for a second and think of the other student athletes in non-revenue generating sports. A lot of them aren’t “being exploited” so much as their scholarship allows them to get a degree. The reality is the football program pays for this.
