Slightly better than the chicken outfit he wears in US Marshals.

The Fugitive is one of my favorite 90's films with great movie star performances from Ford and Jones (it's a shame they haven't worked together, never too late for them to do a Western), but one minor quibble I have is with a scene leading towards the third act. Kimble, the target of a statewide manhunt, has managed

"I …need time to change. I need time."

Clooney teaming up with Steven Soderbergh might have been the smartest career choice he has made. After Batman & Robin, Out of Sight lent Clooney serious credibility.

Today, the Krabbe character would be nominated for Health and Human Services.

"Nah..I'm probably going to fuck up again at some point Doc."

Hysterical Woman crying over her dead lover. Gerard turns to her.

I like to think Searcy's character was so beaten down, he turned in his Sheriff badge and joined the US Marshals making Justified in the same universe as The Fugitive.

I remember the first time I saw No Country and just being blown away while other folks in the theater groaned in disappointment they didn't get a final showdown they were expecting.

And then they will yell at everyone else for letting the results happen.

A few weeks ago, I told people I wouldn't be surprised if Trump does a cameo where he appears next to the person playing him in a sketch. In order for this to happen, I think Baldwin will take the night off and let either Hammond or some other guy play Trump. I could see NBC and/or Lorne green lighting this.

For some of them, that might not be a dealbreaker. They have to ask the Kochs first for permission to be outraged.

And also to wear blackface in the end.

That "pivot" is coming any day now.

The China Syndrome

This is a brief review of an early workprint for GONY that Dave Poland saw back in 2001.

"REGGIE! REGGIE! REGGIE!"

I Love You To Death was a favorite of mine as a teen and I will watch it again once HBO Now hopefully streams it. William Hurt and Keanu Reeves were a pretty deft comedic duo that could have fit nicely in a Coens' Brothers film.

Somewhat interesting they both showed up in Scott's Deja Vu. I was a big Kilmer fan in the 90s. I really felt with the 1-2 punch of Batman Forever (commercial hit) and Heat (prestige picture), he was going to hit the A-list.
