Full Frontal this week was a sliver of sanity.

Woody slow jamming to the beat was the highlight.

Garrison's closing argument feels more relevant and urgent today than it did 25 years ago when the movie was released in theaters.

I remember liking Dreyfus as Cheney, but I still think JT Walsh (RIP) would have been amazing.

I live in a red state that likely will never be a battleground state in 50 years, but I think it's important to try to drive up turn out. Donating a few bucks if you have it or calling people in a toss up state still helps.

I wonder how they're framing it. Do they have Trump surrogates on "clarifying" what happened unchallenged? Hopefully, it can sustain a fair amount of airplay, but I won't be surprised if it gets knocked off the rotation when Trump appears on Dr. Phil next.

Knowing how the media operates, as long as Trump doesn't drool they'll say he appeared presidential. Meanwhile, if Clinton sighs one bit during Trump's bullshit tirades, the media will say she blew it.

She probably did, but I'm not sure CNN and the rest of MSNBC are going to play it endlessly like Email Gate or Pneumonia Gate or challenge Trump or his surrogates about it. In fact, Trump today is LYING about what happened and claiming the crowd chanted over the pastor to let him speak. The media won't even call him

A large part of this is the Mainstream Media desperately wanting to make this shit a horserace because Trump makes for "good TV." I was never impressed or dazzled by this con artist going back to the 80s. His tough guy act is a facade. This video from yesterday proves that. Share it with others because I doubt CNN

That's true, another problem is those people tend to be the loudmouths spreading those "theories" to their friends and family members who may consider them more credible than a newspaper article.

Spielberg and Lucas are perfect examples. They were born well after the 30s adventure serials that inspired Indiana Jones made their initial theatrical runs.

Second that on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. Might be my favorite sitcom since Arrested Development. Rachel Bloom was robbed of an Emmy nomination or two.

That moment, that entire speech was one of the bravest things I've seen in a long time. We spend so much time and money every year watching artificial acts of heroism on the big screen while the Khans demonstrate it so powerfully in just a few minutes. I can't imagine someone listening to Mr. Khan and thinking this

I forget. Was he Marvel or DC?

Hilary Swank. Stephen Colbert once joked that Hollywood awarded Swank two Oscars because they loved seeing her violently punished.

The movie improves on a rewatch. I'm looking forward to the extended cut.

Wonder if there was some coked out agent circa 2005 trying to pitch a buddy comedy vehicle for Denzel and Larry the Cable Guy.

Michael Massee's Garbage Island

Now Playing is probably my favorite movie podcast. They focus mainly on franchises, but I find the episodes insightful and entertaining.
