Had a film professor who once went off on a rant about Michael Mann. Basically said he was a jerk to crew members and would yell at everyone. During late night mixing sessions, Mann would order takeout for himself, but force everyone else to keep working.

I believe Bones injected Khan's blood into the Tribbles he was diddling and that gave him the idea to use it on Kirk. Hopefully, the inevitable Broadway rock opera adaptation of Into Darkness will clarify this.
