I realize this isn't the cheapest way to go, but ummm doesn't Schledge make something like this that addresses the whole encryption and build issues?

@Michael Interbartolo III: There is no comparison between the two devices a rooted NC works MUCH MUCH better than the Archos

@Adam Coggins: yea, and once the new ROMs start popping for this, that pesky BN software will be gone :)

@TekWarren: I have one, and I've rooted it. To give you a little bit of help, I would like to do video chatting with it, but really you don't want to do that much on it right now and the quality probably isn't as good as a netbook.

@HeartBurnKid: Agent of R.O.A.C.H.: I have an Android Phone (DSTL1 Imaginary - Dual Sim - for those keeping track) - and I can tell you the rooted NC has a different purpose in my life than the phone. I use the NC for several things (I'll describe more in a post below) that I either cannot use in my cell or doesn't

@loriensleafs2.0: The Kindle doesn't have the real functionality of the NC - I've got one and rooted, and yes it makes a big difference in everything I've been able to do with the device

hey, speaking of timers, has anyone found a good baseball pitch stopwatch app? I was looking for one last year to no avail :(

I've been using VB for about 2 years... it was kind of a pain to figure out how to delete off old virtual HDs, but once you get that down, it's not so bad...

@Adam Pash: perhaps Gawker needs to have a kumbuya with commenters, editors, writers, and marketing. I mean - look, we're all jerks sometimes - and of course only the most scandalous crap would actually be shown, but we need to come together and appreciate that we all love and need each other for LH, and the others

@Groo8: yea, I'm thinking with the coordination shown, he's played set for at least a year or two... either that or marched with quads or quins...

I would say it depends on where your shipping it from and to that matters... If I have something coming from my local Amazon (Louisville, KY) then I'm happy with UPS, if it's coming from Memphis or Newark, FedEx is good to me... why? Because it's the hub system... the more hubs something has to travel through the more

@Kevin Purdy: huh - I never actually listened to that part, but yea, your right... must be the selective hearing that my wife keeps telling me I have :)

you can also use 800-555-TELL for Tell Me and do a Business Search

ummm... why not just use AppBrain?

I'm still waiting on Google Voice to integrate this! Come on guys, you know we all want it, and it would make life so much easier to integrate a new feature in Gmail where you can send or "Fax" and it receives them there too!

I'm loving it with ADW....

just putting this up here too (Kevin already RT'ed this from me via twitter), if you use a travel agent - TripCase is great because you put in the agent reservation code and it brings the whole file into your phone, plus allows some shortcuts for online check in, and in some airports (DFW) gives you coupons!

@whiteflea: doesn't work for me either... I'm thinking it's restricted from Doughnut (1.6)
